The AD-1683 generates bipolar ions continuously by DC corona discharge separately from positive and negative discharge electrodes and directs the ionized air onto the charged body to eliminate static electricity. The generated ionsare well-balanced in polarity and can eliminate static electricity regardless of the polarity of the charged body
Static Electricity
Generally, insulators such as plastics are prone to be charged with static electricity when the ambient relative humidity is below 45% RH. This may affect weighing and cause a measurement error of several milligrams. The AD-1683 can eliminate static electricity very effectively
*Note: Please confirm that the AC adapter type is correct for your local voltage and receptacle type. To prevent electrical shock, insert the POWER cable into a grouding-type outlet and earth ground the grounding cable
How to install AD-1683:
Choose the installation site so that the AD-1683 can be placed beside the electronic balance and a space wide enough to place sample (10cm to 30cm from the front of the AD-1683) can be secured. Place the sample in front of the AD-1683 inside the specified area and perform static elimination. Then, weighthe sample using the electronic balance

With a length of 210 mm, the tweezers allow a weight to be placed in a weighing pan without having to put a hand inside the chamber. This prevents convection flow that is normally attributed to heat coming from the hand.
Each tweezer is made from austenitic stainless steel (SUS304), therefore heat from the hand is unlikely to be transmitted to the weight via the tweezers. This is especially effective for the precise measurements required of analytical balances.
Tips of the tweezers are covered in resin to prevent the weight from slipping. The hilt is also covered with resin for easy gripping.
The AD-8526 can connect the RS-232C interface of an A&D weighing instrument to the Ethernet (LAN) port of a computer that is not equipped with an RS-232C interface.
Universal Remote Display for AND Weighing balances
Connects to A&D’s balances and scales using either RS-232C or current loop
Includes an AC adapter and a communication cable that matches your instrument
Recognizes the balance/scale baud setting automatically
